ODE TO MOM

Mother's Day
Let's go out and pick some flowers
And make a big bouquet;
We must bring a special gift
To Mom on Mother's Day!
Here's a rose, and there's a daisy
For our Mom's bouquet,
Pretty flowers to show we love her
More and more each day!

WELCOME!!!

I want to welcome a new member to the Big Sky Blog Group. His Name is Eric Knudsen. Eric worked at the Hassayampa Inn with me for about 3 of the 4 years I was there, came on board as the Sous Chef at the Quality Inn for about 2 years, and is now going to be working in the Sweet Tart kitchen starting June 1st. He is invited to be a co author on the Sweet Tart blog page so watch out. He may even provide a link to his own page down the line. Welcome to Sweet Tart Eric. I would provide a picture here but he's kinda scarey..( actually I don't have one). Heres a few pictures of his work.

TODAYS PICS

These are todays pictures from the Sweet Tart pastry kitchen. The new pics are all under my watch... compare them to the previous dessert pic post. Ther are more to come. Check out the Sweet Tart blog under favorite blogs as we ( the emps of Sweet Tart) are going to co-author on this page. There may be all kinds of fun or it could be lame, I'm not sure where it will go...check it often as there will be no blog alert. You can "rss" feed if you want and subscribe there if you DESIRE.

Thanks again for tuning in!

FEELING PROFOUND TODAY...

Begin at the beginning and go on till you come to the end; then stop

The obscure we see eventually. The completely obvious, it seems, takes longer.

Many men go fishing all of their lives without knowing that it is not fish they are after.

You never know what is enough, until you know what is more than enough.

If you chase two rabbits, you will not catch either one

One day, someone showed me a glass of water that was half full. And he said, "Is it half full or half empty?" So I drank the water. No more problem.

What deep wounds ever closed without a scar?

A LITTLE MOSE ALLISON FROM LLOYD IN OMAHA

THANKS FOR THE LINK LLOYD

PONDER THIS...

Cows - Is it just me, or does anyone else find it amazing that, when investigating Mad Cow disease, our government can track a single cow born in Canada almost three years ago, right to the stall where she sleeps in the state of Washington? And, they tracked her calves to their stalls. But they are unable to locate the 11 million illegal aliens wandering around our country. Maybe we should give each of them a cow.
The Cons titution - They keep talking about drafting a Constitution for Iraq . Why don't we just give them ours? It was written by a lot of really smart guys, it has worked for over 200 years, and we're not using it anymore.
The Ten Commandments - The real reason that we can't have the Ten Commandments posted in a courthouse is this: You cannot post 'Thou Shalt Not Steal ,' 'Thou Shalt Not Commit Adultery,' and 'Thou Shall Not Lie' in a building full of lawyers, judges, and politicians. It creates a hostile work environment.
